Chief Dan Orbih Says Votes Must Count Come 2019, Lead Voters to Verify INEC Register

The Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party in Edo state, Chief Dan Osi Orbih led voters at Ogbona, his home town in Etsako Central local government area to the polling unit, where he votes to verify the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) register currently on display across all PUs in Nigeria.

Chief Orbih who was accompanied by prominent leaders and members of the party used the opportunity to encourage electorates across the state and Nigeria in general to visit their respective polling units in ensuring INEC actually display the voters register and also follow up to ascertain if their names made the list or not.

“I just did mine and I urge others to do same in their voting areas by coming out enmass to participate in the process, we will make sure all PUs are visited in Edo North for the purpose of compliance”

“This time around we wouldn’t take chances and give these usurpers any room to manipulate the electoral process, we will make sure that the votes of the people who are already dissatisfied with the misrule of President Buhari and the APC, counts come 2019”

However, Orbih stated that those who don’t have their names on the INEC register shouldn’t hesitate to visit INEC and lay their complaints to the resident INEC officer in the LGA.

“Nigerians are tired of what is going on in the country and the only way to effect change as tenable in modern democracies is to allow the wishes of the people prevail by making their votes count”.

Thereafter, Orbih expressed satisfaction going by what he saw, “I am very impressed with the high turnout of voters who are so eager to verify and vote out those who have all underperformed hence failed the people. We will be going round Edo state starting from Edo south to monitor the exercise”, he added.
